Seventh-graders in Case Grande are exploring strategies to make their school more energy efficient. Working with ASU and Local First Arizona, teachers at Casa Grande are piloting a new class that adapts green-business audits for use in schools and helps students learn to lead those audits.

GFEA is helping people in Payson design nature experiences that invite visitors, protect the community from hazards, and ultimately make Payson, Arizona, a destination for outdoor learning. A growing trail network, new and improved outdoor venues, innovative outdoor experiences would draw people from across the state, offer experiences for people of all ages and abilities, and help people connect with and learn about nature. ASU is partnering with local leaders in Payson to research sustainable business models, design outdoor spaces and experiences, and create fun learning opportunities for people of all ages.

Making an impact together

In addition to launching and supporting new projects, GFEA shares existing projects to inspire, share what works, and launch new connections.
